QuantifyAfrica aims at a systematic and effective use of data to guide policymakers, organizations, and people. To that end, it is critical to lower the barrier of entry and democratize the use of data by improving the availability of data tools and systems. This, in addition to the skills development efforts, will lead to vibrant data ecosystems everywhere in Africa with talented trained data specialists.
QuantifyAfrica recognizes data as one of the most important enablers/catalyzers for the progress of the African society. We work on building tools and data systems, largely open-source, to lower the barrier of entry and democratize the use of data in the continent. We work with all types of organizations from the public sector, local NGOs, private sector, international organizations, academic and research institutions, to efficiently collect data, analyze, extract insights, and use findings to improve people's lives. And we contribute to building vibrant data ecosystems in Africa.
The use of data, methods, and systems contributes to the progress in Africa. QuantifyAfrica will work tirelessly in building dense and high quality data ecosystems necessary for the progress of Africa. We will collaborate with actors across the African continent and beyond to speed up discoveries for the benefit of the people. We strongly believe in learning from local challenges to design and implement appropriate/customized solutions for African populations. Our work is guided by high scientific, professional, and ethical standards.
